So based on survey results for May they will now an ICM engagement and Retention committee. Why don’t they just stop laying everyone off. That you need a committee to tell you that. They are gonna develop an action plan that involves leadership. Top priorities will be looked at. Well how about silent firing. Get some people who are qualified for the positions they hold. The whole thing a joke.

Can someone tell me UHC policy on if you are placed on a CAP and voluntarily resign, are you eligible for rehire?
“You spoke. We listened” is after a ton of layoffs and new hires to replace them. Now the activity at had is to train the cheaper workforce. “You spoke. We listened” Is psychopathy. They only listened after the goal was met and are now in gaslighting mode so training will occur and the plan will succeed.
I saw a recent article that showed how gen x employees were losing motivation, while millennials and gen z are more motivated. More experience allows you to see the psychopathy, psychopaths know this and like to surround themselves with a more naive workforce so it’s easier to be … well … a psychopath.
Like it or not - in a layoff culture its dog eat dog. Spending time training and helping lowers one’s value, as the act does not equate to $. If you have spent any time at a company accumulating a higher salary and help get a new hire productive then you may be putting a nail in your own coffin.
Executive’s have quarterly short term memories and make spreadsheet decisions. Expecting individuals to be engaged and forthcoming with knowledge while psychopathy is all around you is insane. The idea of new hires who can do the same job cheaper is exactly why individuals get laid off. Not playing the into the executives hand of making that a reality is nothing personal. It’s the game employees are now in with an emboldened narcissistic management layer.
It’s true people who were not laid off and had their friends laid off were resentful of new hires. I was treated like cr-p as were others in my training. They keep the immature and people who are rude and not tolerant of people getting hire in as new to the company. They held back on training also. Layoff’s create chaos for everyone. And just because you get hired in doesn’t mean you have anything to do with people getting laid off.
Federal government is going to give employees a 5.6 percent raise to their employees . What did you get this year?
Same S@@t, different day. The damage is done, most of the best folks have been gone. Sir Cr@ppy just gets richer.
High performers are tired of a culture where hard work is neither appreciated nor compensated nor promoted. We have options and ate walking out to better.gigs. Good luck with your cheap offshore teams that take three weeks to figure out how to log in and shut down for the day if the have a question. lol. Nearly 80 percent of.the people I.chatted with when I left were actively out looking for jobs. They are finding them too, meaning the remaining pool of leftovers is getting less and less effective.
When you rid off the effective oversight - workers with actual experience to manage global team, you left a void with remaining leaders who are clueless what needs to deliver.. short cut easy way out never helps this org to sustain…house of cards will reach its own demise eventually ..
Something is very wrong with this company. The star rating is extremely low. From top leadership to customer service, it's bad. It's been like that for years.
Oh the committee must be for the high turnover of their OGT(global team). I heard that they are beginning to get smart. So they show no loyalty and now jump ship at the drop of a hat. Yea if you can’t get someone one who working for a 1000 dollars a year to stay. Well you are in real trouble.
Surveys are for those who need to know something, but are much too important to climb down from their perch and just ask. Basically the lazy way to collect ideas from just a few.
I never complete a surveys for that reason. Real answers need an exchange of thought.
Well, well, well, seems like we've got a bunch of survey completers who are no longer in the picture. How amusing! Utter hogwash, if you ask me. Perhaps that's the reason I found myself out of a job. It appears my brutal honesty needed weeding out! Silly me thinking they actually gave a damn!
They just don't care. Look at the survey results. The burnout rates are off the charts. People are overworked because they continue to cut staff. Those who survive there long term are rude and resentful of new recruits that are blended into the environment by purchases or by hire. It's beyond pathetic. Unsure why they even do the surveys anyway. They just don't seem to care.
What do they value anyway? Does anyone know? Surely not loyalty, high achievers, or good work. They do anything to cut expenses and increase profits and shareholder value. It is all about the bottom line and the monies leadership at the top lines their pockets with. They cut staff, hire contractors or they offshore the roles. Contractors are easy, they don't have to pay any benefits so they save a lot of money not having to provide benefits. Offshore workers work so much cheaper and they get what they pay for which is cr-p! It's not about the quality of work. It's about just doing it on the fly and on the cheap. All smoke and mirrors. Its a horrible, cold culture. So glad I'm outta there. Remember to take care of yourself.
The truth is now the layoff is getting attention from the press. It took that long from May till now to decide the need for a retention committee? It's all for the show they "care"...NOT.
