AI and robotics are coming. If you can’t see that and can’t retool/modify your skill set, I guess you’ll be flipping burgers.
Not today. Most of the store positions will not be replaced by AI. Yes, we’re going to roll out more self checks and put in more changes to fight shrink. Plus, we’ll see more effort to encourage use of online shopping and “Pick Up Only” locations.
You don’t need to worry. We still need our store associates. Definitely true, the retail business is changing and we will see new things implemented. But, there’s no plan to mass eliminate store positions.
Actually, if you want to worry about something, worry about shrink/theft. That’s your #1 risk right now.
Isn't this what everyone on the site wants? We all do not like working for and advise everyone not to work here. This must be a blessing in disguise! Our misery is close to an end.
