Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Looking for a new job

I was not impacted this round but am afraid more layoffs are coming this year and maybe next year. I started applying and have gotten a couple of interviews with competitors. I want to stay positive but positivity does not pay the bills and I don’t want to pass up an opportunity with another company in hopes I won’t be let go next round.
Who else is looking for a new job elsewhere?

Call me 5001. After the shock of seeing the disingenuousness of the 5,000 layoff approach at the beginning of the week, I tendered my resignation at the end of the week. The layoffs are not going to save real money. The business and reputation damage is much greater than the billion dollar “savings”. Customers are smart enough to know that 80% cheaper than Humira advertising being flashed is triple the Mark Cuban pharmacy price for virtually the same biologic; K’s latest shiny credit card acquisition is just more evidence of her lack of focus to execute on fundamentals of the business and respect for employees and customers.

Invest in yourself and mitigate the risk. Lay offs are everywhere. Medicaid is growing, let that sink in. best wishes.

The grass may or may not be greener elsewhere. But CVS is looking more and more like it has passed its peak and is on the downward slide to corporate failure.

Find a job you truly love and have a passion for. The fact that you are looking makes it quite apparent you aren't finding that at CVS.

You aren't alone. Many of those laid off found themselves happy and relieved after the initial shock wore off. The layoffs gave them the push they needed to find something they truly enjoy.

What makes you think the grass is greener somewhere else? The competition will follow in line shipping out all the jobs. You know a major depression is coming soon you can feel it banks are going to fail and the Stock market is going to crash.
