Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

So any other Walmart locking employees in overnights and not letting them go to their vehicles for breaks?

Anyone?

Depends on which state you live in like mine there are big signs on the doors stating these doors must remain unlocked while the building is occupied So what they do is set the doors electronically to be closed without engaging the manual lock so that they can still be pushed out in case of fire emergency

Its going on in my store. We have had too many breakins and stealing going on so the overnight management team had to start locking the doors for safety reasons.

Yeah they said we have to take our breaks in the break room or smoking cage. I have worked here for 9 years never have I been told where I can takes breaks. 1st both of those places is a negative space.

I have never wanted to go to either one of those place to relax for my 15

They lock it because there has been too many “customers” sliding the door open and coming right in.

Even if they’re locked they still push out for fire safety so it’s not illegal.

As far as breaks and lunches, that’s not right.

Usually the overnight management unlocks the doors for those times.
