Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

So unprofessional

I'm so pi---d off right now. I did the whole interview process for a position I thought was perfect for me. It took four separate interviews. I was given a salary range at the second one, and even at the low end I'd have been satisfied. I received an offer earlier this week and it's 20 percent under the low end of what I was told. I'm pi---d beyond reason. Why did they have to lie to me? Why waste my and their time like this? It's been a while since I went through the whole process, is this what I can be looking forward to these days?

You should be happy you are getting an offer. There aren't many opportunities in this space. If you don't have any other options, I would take it or you may regret it.

There’s supposedly a hiring freeze across the board. So them actually extending an offer, just be happy you got one.

This site is layoff.com. You are posting the q on the wrong site

Your recruiter could probably best answer the question as to why this happened. Perhaps asking them and inquiring about negotiating the salary would be more fruitful than complaining on a layoff site.

The time wasn’t wasted. Use the experience gained interviewing and use it elsewhere.
