I've been laid off 3 times in the last 3 years from different companies. It's a very uneasy feeling of not knowing what or where you will be working and you are going to provide for your family. Take good care of yourself, eat healthy, go walking and exercise if you can to keep your spirits up. You will get through it I promise. A close friend of mine told me to apply for 3-5 jobs every day make a commitment to do so. It paid off and I landed something pretty quickly after each layoff. It's good to have both incomes, the severance and a new job. (i never reported that I found new employment) I collected the severance and the income from the new job. Good luck everyone and keep your head up. Network network network. Call friends in decision making positions and ask for job leads.

Every single company I ever worked for was bought out and laid everyone off.
Trying… massive sadness from being let go twice in one year.
