Waiting for the new John Legend performance at her Gala. Which NO Employees are welcome to attend. Gotta grow the salary to be a Billionaire by sending all the jobs to India.
If she was so caring, she would have taken a pay cut to save jobs. Instead she was more concerned about keeping her outrageous compensation rather than being a true leader of the company and taking accountability for the poor business decisions made. We lost our Medicare ratings, stock declined, purchased two businesses that were overpriced, lack of execution, and many more……and did anyone hear her singing at the town hall at her closing remarks. Enough said. Bye Ka.r.n.
There is an element here of “the celebrity CEO” but I think it’s all part of the CVS pivot to healthcare. Let’s be honest- the current “enterprise “ is comprised of businesses that are not that popular with the public. Pharmacists aside- the majority of consumers equate pharmacy=high dr-g prices. PBMs are being bloodied in the public and insurance companies, well it’s a business who wants you to pay as much as you can in, only to pay as little as they can out. So the PR around the CEO is to be a sympathetic, empathetic face to the public of this healthcare company.

Karen is a cu-t plain and simple
It's ChatGPT text output! sounds great, all incorrect.
Let's leverage that in all our product lines, what could go wrong!
Aetna was a strong and profitable company, with a decent CEO (Bertilini). The employees had a great work culture and employees earned great wages.
CVS ki-led it.
If they weren't one of the 5k they'll be part of the 25k
Sounds like you weren’t one of the 5k eh?
Approachable demeanor!?! Who wrote this!? Its laughable.
Karen inherited a dumpster fire of a mess from Larry. But rather than work to put out the fires, she's done nothing but pour gasoline on them, because she's Larry 2.0
Karen is Larry's hand-picked successor, because Larry's departure was sorta abrupt and he wanted to ensure that whoever he picked would continue to do things his way. And that's exactly what he got. So yes she bears a significant amount of responsibility for the current sad state of CVS.
Hiiiiii Karen!!!
Centene and BCBS of CA are direct competitors of a CVS Health company… Aetna.
To be fair Karen wasn’t the CEO or on the board that approved the decision to have CVS acquire Aetna and create this scenario. I am not claiming she’s amazing but if we want to effectively talk about her performance we should talk about her plan, rather lack thereof to drive growth to makeup for customer attrition that is anticipated in vertical acquisitions due to the strategic friction it creates.
If Karen is so great, why did Caremark lose BOTH the Centene contract AND half the Blue Shield contract? Why are 900 stores closing? Why are 5000 people being laid off? Why is the stock down 25-30% since she's been CEO? Why is she OVERpaying for these acquisitions? Why is employee morale at an all time low? Why are people quitting in droves?
Does that sound like a great leader?
If she is so caring why hasn't there been a single article about the layoffs on the intranet. Nothing! Nada!
No company wide email explaining she knows this is a hard time... NOTHING.
Get to a Minute Clinic quickly, you need meds.
Is this supposed to be one of those things that we read backwords or from the last line up because they were standing behind you as you wrote it?
I barfed a little when I read this.
Take it easy on the weed. It is making you talk non sense.
Either sarcasm or excessive admiration.
