Thread regarding Qurate Retail, Inc. layoffs

Only a Matter of Time

Well the market has spoken loud and clear: There is no confidence that Qurate is going to recover. After avoiding delisting, the stock has been below a dollar for 3 weeks and there it looks like the delisting clock will begin again shortly.
The reasoning for the lack of confidence is clear: The company has lost customers every quarter for two years and doesn't appear to have any answers to find new ones. Even shedding Zulilly and cleaning up the balance sheet did nothing to stoke investor confidence. Project Athens seems to offer little in the way of acquiring customers. QVC's and HSN"s customers leave (or die) and there is no mechanism to bring new ones to the platform.

I'm predicting the companies demise with year-end results for this year. That would be around March of 2024.

The good news is - so many of the clowns running the place actually think the company is doing fine and are in growth mode. It's surreal how out of touch some of the upper-level managers are.

Right, here's an example: An executive level person makes $600,000/yr and they've only worked for the company for say 4 years and then that person is getting a $700,000 severance package. At the same time, people much lower on the totem pole barely make ends meet and are on food stamps and expected to write down and report in the time/ schedule software on a daily basis every instance they blink. It's so hard to trust employees. Companies waste tons $$$ on software "upgrades" to police employees to what end? To go out of business? Looking forward to a holiday as spectacular as the last one.

Qurate is back on the delisting block but everyone is in denial. There are literally id--ts wondering if we're getting a bonus 😮😩. Most oblivious group of fools I've ever called colleagues.
All eyes are on the November earnings report. If the company can't give Wall Street something to believe in, the end will be very soon. As it is, the outlook is bleak for the long term.

The next earnings report looms large. Project Athens is well into it's second year and they continue to lose customers and revenue every quarter. The bleeding has to stop but I see little indication it is doing so. It doesn't seem like most of the rank and file understand how precarious the situation is. The company carries so much debt , an asinine amount of debt, and there's less cash coming in every quarter.
