The pharmacist that manages their store reports to a non pharmacist that has no clue about what a pharmacist has to deal with. The company could eliminate ALL of these individuals, as they are completely incompetent and useless.

As a store manager, I work side by side with my pharmacy manager. I do not run his pharmacy. I show him his numbers and and ask what can be done to improve. I ask how I can help. I explain that I am his partner, not his supervisor. I thank him all the time for his efforts. We are not all the same.
Charles R Walgreen had a rule that any Pres or CEO of the company had to have started in the Pharmacy, as a Pharmacist, w the degree, education, and understanding of a pharmacist. Clearly, it worked. For decades in fact. Wasson was the first fracture- he started as a pharmtech- but still pretty impressive. Mr Monaco was the full break in the system. Thanks, Stef!!!🙄
Stop this pharmacy vs. self service nonsense. ALL employees of the company are an ASSET! It’s sad to see this type of blame game being played out all due to the extremely poor upper management currently destroying the company.
Pharmacists are egotistical self centered cry babies. Can’t lead people. Can’t hold people accountable. But don’t want to report to anyone. Maybe go to work at CVS where they are reducing pharmacists or wait until the micro fulfillment center replaces your job. Walgreens has realized a robot can do your job, just need you to write your name.
So frustrating that practicing pharmacists report to a store manager that usually is NOT a pharmacist. A company wants to be a healthcare focused company but treats pharmacists like they are trash.
But guess what that person you are talking about is told by the DM, DPR, and everyone else that they HAVE to own the one box which is the entire store and guess what they make a whole lot less than you do but if you feel that they should get rid of store managers and then you can run the entire store and the pharmacy then good luck with that.
