I am doing the best I can but not logging on til 9 and logging off by 6. They want our role in Digital to be a catch all now, it seems. That's fine, I'll catch it all between 8 or 9 and 5 or 6, then OUT.

Don't ki-l yourself because of senior management's disorganization and failure to properly execute their business plans. You can certainly work 60 - 70 hours per week, but no one will thank you, and it is unlikely anyone will even notice. Do what you can in your 40 hours, and then go home to your family and your true interests.

Look at those who lost their jobs. Many were exemplary employees, who put in long hours and had a long list of accomplishments. Yet, some HR id--t decided their jobs were not worth keeping and they were victims of arbitrary cuts.

Working long hours will not protect you. Do the best you can, but don't stress, don't knock yourself out, and don't work long hours. As evidenced by these layoffs, being a good worker won't protect you from the inevitable next round of layoffs (and they will come, sooner than later). Maintain a healthy work/life balance.

"I've gone through this many times at prior employers. When it happens you always think you can't manage when your team is cut but it works itself out and the work gets done. And then they'll hire more people and then there will be more layoffs...the endless cycle of corporate America.". Not this time for this place India is getting all the new people coming in, replacement in waves, starting at 25,000 going to be 250,000.

It’s already impacting us and our team hasn’t lost our people as of yet. Some are out next week. My managers calendar is already full to the brim daily. I really hate to see what it’s going to do to her once they are gone. This is frustrating and poor planning on their part. Why not fill in those positions that are open first thing before giving them the boot. This makes no sense to me whatsoever. Nothing does.

Guess most those at CVS don’t go through layoffs very much. I used to work at one of the Detroit Big Three, and layoffs were an every three to four year thing.

Can tell you one thing - at all big companies it’s all done the same way, no matter CVS, GM, or Amazon. It’s always cut first (usually a division is given numbers to meet by team to cut) then ask questions later. This is why most big layoffs trigger even more people leaving, due to the rampant disorganization - the really good people, that are likely really needed, end up leaving usually sooner than later.

It su-ks and I’ve worked 72 hours and it’s only Thursday. I’m burned out. This is too much.

How many times per "Trust me Bro," it's 25,000 to 30,000 layoffs of which 5000 are being eliminated and 25,000 are being offshored. Any of you stragglers were missed. You are going to be told after the fact in the mail. Several people have gotten letters no meeting no Town Hall. SVC OPS some of the VPs are gone on August 31st so they are have everything offshored below the sent to India September 1st today WARN notices in TX of the first notified. There are going to be no remote workers anymore. The program has ended. You must work in an office if you are staying. RI, CT, PA, NJ offices are finished closing. That means CVS and Aetna will have no US workforce. The new HQ is in Manhattan as an executive office everyone in between in India and the store level maybe we can just outsource HB1 Visa on 3 months and get new people. There will be 1 staff run by the Pharmacy. Nice knowing you all because this company as you knew it is done.

To the last post - you will not be there to worry
It was an oversight - that you are still there
They missed a few here and there

I don’t even know who I’m going to report to after Thursday and neither does my impacted director. We are losing half our team and we have received absolutely zero direction on who will be taking on what or who to loop in on current workstreams. I don’t even know why they bothered to give those impacted until the end of the month if there’s no plan to transition their work. I’m on PTO next week so I guess I’ll be able to check my hierarchy in Teams to see who my new boss will be? Who knows?!

I cannot emphasize enough how poorly this whole situation was and continues to be handled.

This $hít is crazy. We're going to be grinded to dust. No one ever gives a thought of the balance and stress of more work. It's sad

I’m waiting for the “carefully thought out plan” to strategically execute on it. I can’t waste another second on misdirection. I thought I knew what was critical to a solid business model but this past week or so’s events has shown me I don’t have a clue like the top leaders do.
