Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Outsource the executive leadership team to India

Thoughts? They couldn't possibly do any worse than what we have now: losing multi billion dollar PBM contracts, overpaying for acquisitions, and lighting money on fire between contractor/vendor abuse and longstanding redundancies.

Amazon is taking over everything... except mobile phones, Haven, Spark, restaurants, ticket sales, etc. where it tried to and failed. It's not impossible to beat them in specific markets and they can't afford to take over everything politically as eventually anti monopoly laws (even if mostly ignored the past few decades) will be applied when enough of the population who was put out of work have nothing better to do then break them up like Bell.

I don't have anything negative to say except American jobs in this compete environment are finished, CVS knows this and to stay competitive they will have to do what everyone else is about to do dump American jobs in whole. The other Heath Companies are including Walgreens are going. Stores like Target/Walmart are finished food stores are getting consolidated and Amazon is going to eliminate all them soon just like Malls are disappearing every thing is done like Sears Amazon is getting so big it will be your one source for everything from food, health, pharmacy, department store, vehicles, bank. They are going to put everything out of business just like Walmart tried to before and failed. Amazon is just going to become you local Food Store and get your prescription, doctor everything in 1 place in some place like the size of a shopping mall but they are the only store and if they don't got it there they will deliver it to you later that day fro their warehouses. And you might scoff but Amazon is already a trillion dollar company going up fast. There are corning every last area they haven't taken over.

@Ex CVS, I agree with you that people should not promote hate towards any ethnic group of people directly. However, to address your statement of "If you people are really efficient, you no need to worry.", I think if that were true and being confirmed by everyone involved in this within the company (aka transparent low performer layoffs...) and not a confusing mess and unclear message of direction, people might be handling this a bit better. Personally speaking, I think CVS should expand globally with digital HC options using AI and Digital technology. Truly give everyone a "doctor in their pocket" like the vision leadership touted a year ago. Then we can all work together globally for profits and making all human beings healthier.

But I also feel like Indian companies can hire Americans if it truly is a two way street. Or at least the Indian government could officially work on being an ally with the US government. If not, then any healthcare law we make to protect our citizens can completely be ignored by offshore contractors and thus put the National Security of American citizens at risk. ...See the problem?... It isn't about ethnicity. Indian people are just as good/bad individuals as the rest of us around the world. But geopolitics are real and something we should consider.

I'm sorry to hear some with H1B visas were let go. I hope those that believe in the American Dream and want to increase the intercountry friendship between the US and India find new jobs quickly that they are competent at and that make them happy. I'll take a pleasant, skilled immigrant to the US who is an ideal citizen (community engaged, etc.) over incompetent and lazy natural born citizens who just want to mooch off the world. But it doesn't mean we shouldn't give more opportunities to natural citizens as a solely US operating company. (not including Aetna travel insurance)

Remember, there are no countries in a truly ideal world...

Please don't talk negative & provoke hate towards a Country or People.t
The Leader is American, the investors are Americans. So here about India has to do with that ? If you people are really efficient, you no need to worry.
By the way many Indians in CVS on H1B are also got effected do you know this ?

Most of the high paying positions are already Indian through a concerted effort to take over the IT areas, despite a severe lack of skills. It is a nepotistic explosion, and CVS would do well to wake up and curtail the issue before it gets even worse. Suggesting they should also have Indian executives is nothing short of comical.

Reverse colonialism isn't the answer to your frustrations. Americans shouldn't own companies only operating in foreign countries and foreigners should not own companies only operating in America from a revenue perspective. It's simply a matter of national security.

@lwa+1ofwHjR6 I'm not Indian myself, but I've had many more pleasant and genuine interactions with Indians than I have with the archetypal 65 IQ psychotic American executive.

You are not right in the head. They hate Americans don't you know that? They hate all groups outside their superior race. Then the whole company would be in India and everyone in the stores will be on HB1 Visas. No American workers.
