Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Q will shrink drastically

Q won't go anywhere, but will shrink drastically. One by one, closing satellite locations, closing buildings, shutting down all its BS so-called research depts. They'll learn the hard way that "adjacent markets" are for pros with long term commitment, not hobbyist dabblers like them that tinker with borrowed ideas, fail, then throw them away.
They'll shrivel down to just core wireless, their 1-trick-pony 1-hit-wonder. They'll be like Yahoo for search. "Oh yea, them. Are they still around?"

Like it or not, @rtf+1oeXSCif is right.

at the end , every thing has a gaussian curve and every company will shink. Keep your skills and capabilities high and live a humble life. Its just few higher management id--ts who ruin the whole company and they will sneak into another company even before the company collapses. At the end everyone is just getting old everyday to die eventually just same as the companies

In auto, Q took NVDA scraps when NVDA decided move beyond the head end unit.

Q is second-rate, NVDA will not hire you.

Q has realized that when you shift 50% of your workforce to India or H1Bs, your output quality drops by 75%. The number of meetings and status collectors basically doubles.

I think a great metaphor is the stadium San Diego once had. It was called JACK MUPHY STADIUM. It was huge, and looked great. Q comes along, borrows the stadium, puts their name on it. Then they blow it up, down size by 50%, and now this little pathetic "Snapdragon stadium" that looks more like amateur high school bleachers that's gonna tip over and collapse at any minute. Did they make a committment and outright buy the stadium, keep it, improve it? No, just borrowed the idea and slapped their logo on it. Marketing gimmicks. Like changing the "Q" on the company logo....lol. omg. Lipstick on a pig.
