Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

How can I quit?

It’s been the most stressful, exhausting and depressing time being one of the survivors here at crown. I can’t handle the stress and emotions anymore. I need to quit but financially it’s hurting me so bad. I have never been so unhappy with a career before. My manager is treating me like sh*t and they are getting away with it everyday…..I don’t know what to do next

Pretty easy. Find a new job then stop working for the grape apes.

@1cco+1oewyzPv nope. Guess again. If you treat people like this the on the internet, then it's probably a good thing you were let go.

Be nice, all. Some people thrive in environments where they are busy and productive and can’t just “shut down” or “quit in place”. I know many who want to do a good job every day — which makes this hard for them. Especially when others do start to ease up (those folks tend to bear the brunt of it… certainly not CC…they throw everything on those people and wear them down. That’s what I’m hearing from that post. Not a pity party, but frustration and exhaustion. Even if CC won’t live the value of People Matter, we can be better than them…at least to each other.

Crown is not the be all end all in this industry. Put in the effort to find employment elsewhere, once a solid offer is in place put in your two weeks notice. Have patience in your search. You will be surprised how much your "mental" health will improve and you wont need any assistance with it from anyone. basically...your happiness and peacefulness is up to YOU! Quit the pitty party and make things happen for yourself!

Simply put if you do not feel adequately compensated for your time. Throw caution to the wind and think of you first and then treat yourself like your really care about you. Then you will find it easy to figure out your path to whatever form of quitting best suites you.

No one should have survivors guilt that is just a stupid statement. May be closer to Stockholm syndrome if I may. I for one can not be happier to be gone in the great snap of Jay Thanos. I wish all you syndrome suffers the very best.

Just do the bare min. It’s not worth your mental stress when you know they don’t care about you and will extract everything out of you so that they will look good. Deadline? F* that! Think of everyone who put in their time and effort into working nights and weekends all go get laid off like a bunch of ants

I think there are a lot of us depressed over the situation this past month. He put up with a lot and many of us are dealing with survivor guilt or fear of being caught in the next one. I was too afraid to go out on a limb and volunteer, but next time, I will think more seriously about it. I’ve heard from people who left that they are already getting interviews and prospects are good. :sigh: hindsight…

What I really find cruel is that, right before this was announced, they had planned to have calls about retirement, physical, and mental health. The physical health one was finally just rescheduled, but what many of us really need is the mental health help. I know many who can barely function these days.

They aren’t going to listen to a post like this, though. What we need to do is all start calling Lyra and use the heck out of that benefit. When they start seeing that bill go astronomical (even if fully-insured, our rates will go up…and then we may just drop the coverage).

People matter? I don’t know. I really don’t feel like I matter at all. Thanks a lot EMT. JB: get back on connect and fight back the laugh…er..tears and tell us how sad you are to have to do this. It’s like a parent with a switch saying, “this hurts me more than it hurts you.”

Oh. And then have them get on a call to say our mission is to hit those 10k nodes…. Kick us when we are down. You know we must deserve it.

Have you heard the buzzwords “quiet quitting”? It’s a route to a severance.

The question is “How can I quit?” If you can’t figure out how to quit, something is terribly wrong with you.
