Based on some state WARN notices, it looks like there will be more layoffs in October, is that correct? I’m from Illinois and our notice only gives the initial notice date but not an “end date”

Nov/Dec dates are people who got Severance
Layoffs October and November. WARN notice dates are for Nov and dec. The 10/21 date was for the recent layoffs. Future dates are for the upcoming layoffs this fall.
If you’re referring to the 10/21 termination date, that’s because WARN requires 60 day notice. Those informed last week that they were impacted were either immediately dismissed or have until the end of the month at which point they will be on paid leave for at least 60 days to remain in compliance with WARN regulations. On 10/21 they will then officially be terminated/let go and severance will kick in.
HR is doing October layoffs.
Are you in Finance? CMAs were just offshored to India. More of the same can get a days work for less than $2.50 savings of $158 per day per employee. Everything is going to be overshored to India. Sorry man you will find out this week like the People in PA, TX, CO, CA, NY, NJ, MD anywhere they just forgot to mention before. RI, CT might close down all together.
