I think Arvind is being his usual blowhard on jumping on and pushing whatever new as an IBM Opportunity. How?
- WatsonX is helping is recoup X of flesh bag expenses - we can do that for you too. WatonsX!
- The prior work (such as HRBot for past few years) has su-ked bad - yet Arvind et al believe it's great. So there's them blinders about.
- Even better (yeah) excuse for laying off ("Suitable jobs will be replaced - irrespective of age")
Summary: IBM Can't push WatsonX without at least a facade about how it's benefiting internally.

There’s already a project in place to identify where AI can make better decisions, react quicker to trends and anticipate/deliver better services to customers. There’s also a lot of effort underway to reduce exposure to shrink, including internal shrink. Nothing wrong with any of this. It increases shareholder value, drives stock price up, reduces redundant and unnecessary work, and, reduces resource needs.
Dunno if I like it, I kind of got used to the blank stare when I ask where anything is. Some m0rons are simply adorable and irreplaceable.
