Thread regarding CVS layoffs

This helped me make up my mind

I was on the fence about leaving for a while. These last few weeks and especially the last few days and the way the whole layoff situation was mishandled helped me make up my mind about leaving. I'm also sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. I think CVS will lose many more than 5k people when this is all over.

I have a new position I will be starting in a few weeks. Can work it evenings and weekends for a few months as needed. I am praying to be laid off and would absolutely volunteer if asked.

More work, less people. Wall Street wants more workers then wants less. Reality they want blood from a stone or AI to take everything over so their bottom line exceeds the losses and efficiency no. Su-k up money like a vacuum so they can live like Kings and you die on the street. Everything has a price including your @$$

I feel the same. I'm a PBM director. My boss, myself, and my team are not being laid off but will be very much impacted with the layoffs in other teams. Fully anticipating that the workload will fall on our overwhelmed team. I really think the 5k is just an initial number. There will be voluntary resignations because of how this whole thing was handled; and then there will be more resignations with the 3day hybrid return to work being enforced by Sep 5. Similar patterns have occurred in other companies. Wishful thinking to deny it won't happen with CVS Health. Also, more layoffs are coming if the projected voluntary resignations will not meet what the real number the company was looking for. It was never just 5k jobs.
