A real leader, instead of telling a bunch of HIS anonymous employees that this is unhealthy, would take a good look at what is actually being said here about him, his company, his managers and leaders, HR etc and use that to make so changes where need be.
A real leader wouldn’t come on here to read this and decided to throw his toys out the cot and be upset. This is probably the most honest anyone has been with him. Negative comments don’t always need to stay negative, HE has the power to change the narrative and actually do something to better the lives of the people that work for him.
A real leader would have realised that changing a meeting from 15 minutes to an hour after complaints on here, was a good move HOWEVER forcing people to come on camera to ask a question after this week makes that one good move non existent.
A real leader (who knows about this forum) would have addressed it in the company meeting in a way that wouldn’t further pi-s us off. He could have done so much with the information he was provided and possibly made ways to find out why we feel this way.
A real leader would care, his staff have lost family during Covid, his staff’s family have lost jobs resulting in his staff having to pick up the financial load until they are able to pick up their feet, his staff don’t want to come in so instead of being an angry toddler, Chip & Co have you asked why?
You can’t tell me it’s not his job to care, yes it is, the moment you hire any one is your job to care, those are the people making you the money, the sentiment that “the customer is always right” only works well when you realise the staff on the ground are the individuals pushing the work for you.
Chip money will never buy you happiness if the people around you are suffering under your watch. It’s never too late to change how you treat people or how you allow your leaders to treat people and I think with all your changes seemingly not working the one you haven’t tried yet is kindness, compassion and understanding.
That might just be what you’re lacking to make this truly “a great place to work”
