My guess is Isreal layoffs will be canceled and other regions will absorb it as notifications arent official yet. Doesn't seem nice to layoff people in the middle of war.

Probably not as expensive as US, but certainly more expensive than India/Shanghai/Taiwan

Any layoff plan for the Israeli site should put on hold now!

There's a good chance a majority of them have been called to service. Least of their concerns right now other than to protect their families.

Israeli engineers are largely some of the best out there. Smart, motivated, clever and hard-working. Several cuts above almost anywhere else in the world.

There are two sites:
Hod-Ha-Sharon with 270 (a lot of interns and low rank engineers ~70)
Haifa with 140

I guess that an engineer in Israel isn’t cheap compared to India; but is cheaper than engineers in US.

No idea how many will be impacted, the fact that this wave is so secretive doesn’t bode well.

I didn’t think anyone from Israel would be impacted.

With all that’s happening right now in Israel, are you really asking if they’re a high cost area? :o
