It’s all prep for this Friday’s Grinch announcement of no bonuses in Whoville this year. Or will his heart grow 3 sizes and he come down from the mountain with a sleigh filled with joy?
BTW - Will the Walgreens pharmacists fill the Grinch’s heart medication prescription for an atrophied or enlarged heart?
"When it rains it pours..." from our interim CEO - how appropriately she worded the latest Friday comm - was anyone else expecting another crazy announcement?
Rod is getter no paid because Pessina most likely told her what to do and he does not want the lawsuit from her being let go so pay her to go away even though it stinks of a corporate payoff
Agree that Roz Brewer helped get Walgreens closer to the drain but the company was already circling the drain long before her reign. Working for Walgreens has been total garbage since Wasson's time. Walgreens "motivates" its employees through threats and intimidation and that's unlikely to change. Many of us did not get to experience Walgreens when it was "truly great". It has been a sh-t-show as long as my 10 plus years here. Totally warped company culture. And yes, paying Roz another dime after she got the boot is an insult to those who actually care about Walgreens.
Meanwhile, a CEO who was forced to step down at the end of Aug after imploding a Fortune50 company in record time is being kept on the payroll (unheard of🙄) to the tune of $375k PER MONTH through the end of the following February to ‘advise & consult’. On what??? How to cripple a once truly great made-in-America company in 28 months?? But it’s all about the Benjamins. This bizarre ‘consultant’ end date now ensures her full $23million sign-on bonus while pharmacists, techs, and store associates are treated & paid like subhumans. Here’s a crazy thought WBA: Bonuses are meant to encourage and reward GOOD work, not ineptness.
$94k/week for SIX MONTHS.
How much do you make a week?
DISGUSTING.
Walgreens staff we stand with you.

I think we all know at this point that Walgreens is not going to change on its own. In that vein, I would like you to put pressure on our boards of pharmacy. These institutions are put in place to ensure our patients are safe.
Weare asking you to log into StoreNet. Open the Performance tab, and the operation scorecard. At the top of the screen, widen your view to the highest level you can see: District or Area.
Make sure The pharmacy page is selected. Then select the ranking tab. Select 'rank by store."
Then go to the Patient Promise Time column and rank patient promise time from smallest to largest.
Note the stores that have a promise time less than 50%. This means that half of the patients in these stores do not get their prescriptions when we tell them they'll be ready and this is with the recent expansion of the Promise Time window.
In my district, the stores with less than 50% patient promise time are the ones that are the most backed up. While some of the stores with a promise time greater than 50% are also backed up. I believe The Board of Pharmacy should see all of these stores.
I'm told we have stores with less than 10% patient promise time. These stores are hundreas to even thousands of prescriptions behind.
Next scroll over and note how many vaccines they're giving each week or each day.
Our team members are overwhelmed. Our patients are not being cared for. These environments are the most unsafe.
Then email your local board of pharmacy. Ask them for help. Tell them about the environments our team members are working in and express your concer for our patients.
If you are comfortable with doing so. please CC or BCC me in your email. We want to ensure the individual Board of Pharmacy's are fulfilling their mandate to protect our patients.

It’s not only store personnel and pharmacists that are pi---d it’s corporate staff as well. They are forcing staff back to the office Tuesday- Thursday with not enough space to support that volume of people. This is a complete joke you don’t give merit increases, probably no bonus, sc--w us on open enrollment ( insurance is always going up ) and expect us to take a hit with the cost of gas? Why is an interim ceo making these decisions??? Way to pi-s off the people!
No one ia walking out of anything if you do your fired. Stop yapping bullsh-t you aint gonna follow thru on
Like a fight do it or not, the ones flapping their gums aint doing sh-t
Well they are doing searches for new CEO, CFO and CIO. Getting rid of Stephanie would be a huge step in right direction but he owns a lot of stock. The funny thing is if he’s SO smart and wanted to run this company WHY did he do the things he did? Hiring Roz and then letting her bring on her 🤡 clowns has really ruined this company. Tracey Brown probably thinks if she plays her drums on camera and wears RED then she gets what’s going on in the stores. Joker! And Roz’s other BFF Holly May is the CHRO who should have a better handle on employees instead she’s always canceling meetings, doesn’t know cr-p about HR, and really loves to make podcasts and LinkedIn posts BUT somehow forgot how to lead HR - and guess what I’m in that area and it su-ks. So I say 🙏 to those doing a walkout.
Stefano Pessina needs to leave Walgreens immediately because this company is in the condition it is because of him period. Every decision he has made has turned to cr-p afterwards and this company is a shell of itself because of him
Seems the point was made to corporate but there is one problem with one of the statements made in COMPASS about all of this and they want honest feedback from the field according to this. NO YOU DON’T WANT THAT. You ignore the feedback. I have been working retail for to many years and sh-t only rolls down hill not up this has always been the issue and now you people in the glass tower realize field staff is PI---D OFF and how PI---D OFF do you think they will be when the no bonus announcement is made. This company is in serious trouble and the fact that they acknowledged this shows you that they cannot have disruptions like this even being mentioned.
CNN, Yahoo Finance, Reuters…
Oh what tangled webs ye weaved!!!!
Since you work for Walgreens, why didn't someone just send out an internal email to the distribution list for pharmacists about the walkout? I'm sure one of you is willing to take a HR slap on the hand for using corporate assets inappropriately.
CNN has a story on the walkout as well.
Thank You!!!
