Ref: Learning and SOP KT. We all know unless you have been thru the battle fields as soldiers, it’s not a quick transition. It goes to show the leaderships in charge are clueless. The only so called “strategic” plan they have is “blame games” and passing the bucks. Zero accountability!! The are hoping to move forward with AI if everything is scripted .. pathetic to say the least !!
Not only not afraid of lawsuits, they don’t mind paying the fines violation of compliance - $1B
fines since 2000 which is nothing comparing to all the “bl@@dy” $$ by denying/delaying claims putting PT at risk!
Instead of “we care” it should be changed to “we guaranteed to expedite your end of life journey” sadly !
This is going to go south. They picked two outlier locations so they can learn from the experience. Wiscousin, Kentucky, and Maine. They took on over 1k of their employees. This is why they have to layoff again. They took on their informatics, IT, inpatient care management, revenue cycle management and analytics. I have yet to hear anyone talk about compliance knowledge in any meetings at this place. One thing about Optum, they not afraid of a law suit.
Sounds like a match made in heaven
This is an M & A company that buys out its competition so they don't challenge or out do them. The company and its pi-s poor leadership is out for one thing only, profit, greed and shareholder value. It isn't about healthcare, a better system, a more efficient system or any of that BS. It is clearly about being the biggest and stamping out competition. They need to be stopped.
People need to report this company to the Department of Justice, States Attorneys General, OIG, FTC and any other government agency for its ongoing, continuous egregious violations of policy and law. Whistleblowers - False Claims Act, Data mining, theft of other company secrets, inappropriate billing practices, comingled data storage, inappropriate Data uses, Coding improprieties, etc. etc. Leadership being charged, incarcerated and fined. That is what will make the difference, not unions, not layoffs, but kicking them where it hurts, the bottom line, with fines, penalties, bad publicity, negative media coverage for a downward turn and market trend, etc.
Big deal they are getting rebadged to Optum, no new jobs.
Once M&A org it never changed.
Integration = trash & burn
“Hiring” newly acquired = use them sp-t them out
Herd the cattle = RIFs
Bottom line for the year = checked
Executives bonuses/stock options = checked
