layoffs

Does it impact the security group (srx/skyatp) as well? What about contrail, apstra and Mist groups?

Will Juniper get acquired by another hedge fund?

@3hsd+1oX6FQSz Could be Riverbed. Sounds like it. Few people moved to Juniper from there when it got acquired by hedge funds and fired about 40% of their employees in one week in April 2015. I was one of them. Left Juniper eons back for FAANG. Thankfully saw the rot in time. Just heard about the layoffs from some of my ex-colleagues and came to have a look-see.

All the best everyone. I thought the management of RR was OK , its just that the company was run too loosely, way too many fiefdoms everywhere. Not good for general business growth.

If you really want to build attrition, this is exactly what you do to ki-l a business. I've seen it happen at my last company. 3 Billion dollar company, now worth 400M. This is the same exact way it happened.

I think Contrail is a failed experiment and I expect it to go

I guess they plan to put in more resources into Mist and Apstra, as the management consider it as their growth opportunities. However, they would chop off if they find any of these divisions bloated. I am not sure about contrail and security business.

The layoffs will go on until the end of March 2024 - wonder how many more will be on the list and ready to be put on fire between now to March 2024. The ones left behind are already burnt out.
