interview questions on Q culture

At a recent interview at a 5000+ sized company, I had some strange questions about Q culture. I have not had any other interview where so much time was spent on my current job's culture. Waiting to hear about progress or lack there off to next round.

I hope companies are not reading this site and getting the wrong idea.

Depends on the group. Some are good, some are horrible. QGOV is toxic as he-l.

Q culture is not toxic. To be honest, I never worked in FAANG but I worked for plenty of companies in the past. I can say for my years at Q, this company is doing fine in several aspects. Just being you unhappy doesn’t make the entire company toxic. Be a grown man!

Talk to someone recently hired at the company to check for consistency. If it was only you, chances are this is an individual manager that wants to know because they have friends at qualcomm or doing due diligence on cultural fit as part of their management philosophy. Hiring the right person for the right seat on the bus.

The idea that QC culture is toxic at a company wide level is just plain false. At a company this size, there are going to be pockets of toxicity, but that it’s a broad culture problem simply isn’t true.

Q' culture is toxic. They want healthy people so they can push you to the limits without dying.
