Thread regarding TransUnion layoffs

They want to offshore everything

Legacy TU management is being pushed aside in favor of Neustar people. In enterprise tech they are heavily offshore and any new hiring has to be offshore. It’s going from bad to worse here.

This original post proved true this week as 1300 people will be laid off in the coming weeks in favor of sending jobs to India, South Africa and Costa Rica. Just what do each of those GCC’d excel in?

people who built the company to profits due to which they can acquire new companies, should not be pushed aside. that can be a recipe for disaster. I hope their leadership realizes this and puts a stop to useless layoffs and return to work policies in person. I thought they are a global solutions focussed company and if that's the case, then they need to respect people onshore and offshore.
they are such a global company - looks like they are looking to follow trends that will really not benefit them but will hurt them. If they need to layoff anyone - it needs to be based on real data but definitely DO NOT let go of people just to offshore an already offshore balanced company. DO NOT put things in place just for the sake of putting something in place. see what's valuable.

Yes, despite layoffs occurring in the US, it appears that the new CTO and CEO are making decisions that seem to prioritize their personal gain over the company's core business. It might be time for the board to consider a change in leadership
