Managers MIA

Anyone else noticing managers excessively using fmla? The ones Ive seen are finding excuses to get away from the no win situations, countless @ss chewings, and being held responsible for things they dont have the man power to fix. Hate to say it but if management woulda told the truth years ago and stuck to the truth about what it really takes to railroad out here the rest of us wouldnt be in this bad predicament of “doing more with less”.

Ah yes, the managers of UP. What would we do without them.

I haven't had a PDR in two years and some d-mb manager keeps sending me messages to my sure I make my manager give me a PDR.

I would but I haven't seen the guy in three months.

I've noticed the managers are being too quiet. I had a manager who would relentlessly call for the d-mbest of things possible. Now he barely calls and when he does he's being very nice. I guess it's not so much fun to be an a55hole to employees anymore when your job is now on the line.

Unfortunately the managers I see are too busy trying to look good so when Jimbo tries to cut them they are the lucky ones that get to stay. The only the thing they use the stress excuse for is for special treatment like picking their own schedule and immunity from discipline if they can’t do their job properly or loose their cool with somebody. But they never go on leave because in their eyes it would look bad.

If you are non-agreement you should use your short-term disability benefits (you get paid to be off) and go out on stress leave for about 6 months. Then come back and you still have your vacation time. I see the same people in a certain department do it year after year.
This company is just too much right now. Don't burn yourself out over a place that may eliminate your position tomorrow. While Jim flies around on a private jet and rides around on pristine business cars, the rest of the railroad is in shambles. Don't miss out on important life events you can't have back. Jim's vision for his own ego is not worth sacrificing your health, family, and relationships for.

Its like a cult , you stand up and tell the truth , you get ran off so fast, dispose of you. And if you tell them what they wanna hear by lying. They say , you have courage to care , we are winning and we are one.
