Ok, this is getting out of hand. Not just at 2U, but across technology companies. CEOs make up to 600 times the salary of ICs. CP made 17 MILLION dollars last year. What was your salary? What was the rest of the C-suite salaries and bonuses? Could these layoffs have been avoided if portfolio management and staffing accounted for equitable salary?
Over the past 20 years, non-unionized workers have experienced a decrease in quality of life and work life balance. At the same time the C-suite has enjoyed the spoils and not shared profits from price increases and inflation. The power differential is unbearable.
So. How do we start? Who wants to unionize to demand fair treatment, equal pay, and job protections from 2U.
Moreover, how do we get more tech companies onboard. I am actively researching this and other questions. I welcome your feedback and thoughts.
