Thread regarding 2U Inc. layoffs

And To Call Yourselves Human Resources?!

The nightmarish experiences so many have been forced to endure, by way of an "H.R." department performing as little more than 2u leadership's henchmen. Wasn't there some sort of Hippocratic Oath taken when entering into the {Human Resources} field??

When I reached out to HR with a problem, all I got was a complete resolution within 48 hours. I didn’t get any sympathy, but rather just professional responses exactly when they were needed. No sympathy for me, though? Where’s the “human” in not spilling the tea sometimes?

Their HR leaders have no morals, in the sense that you can have been a friend and colleague to them for years but when the time comes that they decide they rather squeeze more value or time out of someone else than they can get out of you, then you’ll get a Carlene or someone “nice” to tell you to pack your sh-t and go…

It su-ks but HR is there to protect the company, not the employees. If your good is also ok for the company, they'll protect you—if it's not, then they choose the company. BS.
