Former worker class action lawsuit?

Just reading the treatment of workers and the apparent internal misleading statements and gaslighting, is a class action lawsuit by former employees something that can happen? People here have been expressing serious concerns, some saying they raised them with HR -- but nothing has changed, and the environment continues to deteriorate. I guess that's up to a lawfirm to start?

The company has a code of ethics and there are protections for workers codified in the law. The bonus structure has always been sketchy. Maybe a lawsuit would force 2U to open their books?

Depends on what the charges are. See a lawyer.

After reading the severance agreement, I’m not sure a class-action lawsuit is possible. They were very careful about including language to protect them from potential lawsuits.

I HAVE saved everything, but I don't have faith something like this would go anywhere. HR is there to protect the company not the people and you bet they protected that company. Settled fmla violations only to let them happen again and again with slaps on the wrist. Got all the info we all had and I'm sure developed defenses against it. Maybe I'm just jaded by now.

Even if you didn't save everything, they can not destroy records just because they want to. Records are records and would need to be brought forth under an investigation-per law.

Man, I wish I would have saved everything I sent to HR. I left before I knew it was a widespread and pervasive issue/culture. It’s so sad that so many of us were bullied and mistreated and thought we were alone.
