I've worked in Retail 28+ years. Started in the late "glorified 80's , partied through the "hyped up 90's" and so far surviving the 2000's and above. As of today, I don't think I've ever felt so mentally drained, physically exhausted and just done with the BS. I get that the new boss is visiting stores (so. cal) but ge-z, all the big wigs just care about are the new "small store strategy" stores. How about fixing your existing stores????? #ventinghere

Try spelling correctly, then maybe you will be heard!
They can't fix a store that is non-profitable. 28 years plus ..you should be over the frustration and in the "this is retail" or acceptance phase. I have the same amount of years working retail and I've learned to do my best to please the customer with what I've been handed, go home and live my best life. Retail will never be perfect and yes stores are gonna close.
Most of the existing stores are in indoor malls which are dying. An example is the Pacific View Mall in Ventura California. The mall is dying and the store is old and needs a complete remodel. The future is small stores in strip malls.
If a store isn't doing well..unprofitable...nothing is going to be done to it. Story in Retail Dive about off mall expansion
