Thread regarding Cengage layoffs

Layoff planning today in not closed Boston.

Meetings in the open office space. US Higher Ed Production, Sales, IT. Very not discreet, anyone in today could hear it.

What does production cover? Manufacturing or are you talking about product development?

Did you hear anything about when?

Greetings,

The standard Cengage way to lay people off is to send an email to a meeting sharing a business update. HR will be added to the meeting minutes before, and your manager will spend 2-3 minutes congratulating you on becoming your own CEO before handing you off to your HR partner, who will assist you in the final steps of this important journey.

Your email and login will be shut down by the end of the meeting. I've gone through this many times and always felt pride and satisfaction knowing my direct reports have taken what they've learned while serving in Cenforce to make that tremendous step.

Full stop!

Historically, Cengage mass layoffs happen on Thursdays.
