Announced today that the global channel chief is leaving the company. Does anyone find this odd after the “big” announcement of moving all business to the channel? My guess she finally figured out what a dumpster fire Dell is and hit the road for greener pastures. This moved paired with our buddy Chuck Whitten is interesting to say the least.

I agree with everything the last commenter said except: “Not all leftist ideas are bad.”
They sure as sh-t are and that’s how they creep into society. They introduce simplistic solutions to manufactured problems and get buy in from sincerely well intentioned but naive and ignorant people. Their supposed solutions create more problems to which they introduce more nonsensical solutions. They use that endless spiral to grow their power.
@1iee+1oUHrkfM : Having seen ability of some "ELT" who came from EMC, I can assure you that young kids today are more capable and best suited for Dell's direction.
Not all "leftist" ideas are bad. And not all "leaders" have the experience or common sense for their age.
Claiming to have served over 15 yrs in levels needing giving directions to other teams at Dell, a leader in new org has no clue on how to achieve the quarterly goals. He is asking his team with NO experience in direction-giving, to deliver a task meant solely for his position, Rank, pay-grade.
He thinks his task is to "grow his team" by finding fault in team members. Dude forgot that to guide others, one needs to know the job at hand. Since he NEEDS to show growth of team member, he lies about their capability. He claims certain skills dont exist, when they do. Thereby in the end he can either claim he did HIS JOB of "grow emp" or wfr the employee coz emp isnt "willing to learn". Both cases Emp loses. Both cases he wins. Employee cannot protest that he already has those skills, because that is seen as emp is unwilling to take feedback.
He is good at playing such political games.
Corporate “diversity” is a fallacy. All throughout history different ethnic groups gravitated to different types of work. Usually those lines of work aligned well with their culture or education system.
Today’s DEI warriors are talentless hustlers manipulating people for their personal gain. Ever notice that they only push for equity in desirable jobs? When was the last time you saw a woman up on a utility pole after a storm? Why don’t they push for equity in those jobs? Those are skilled and high paying jobs.
Let's be real, she did nothing anyway. I remember when she joined all the females were buzzing and supporting the whole women in tech movement. For Dell, that is the only diversity the care about, women in tech. What about having other ethnic within the C level? having true representation ???
This is all BS...
Wait till they start giving leadership roles to kids that came out of uni, with no real life experiences....
Dell's approach to diversity, mental health, environment and so on is an exercise in lip service only. If they cared about mental health they'd look after employees better. If they cared about the environment they wouldn't be dragging people back to the office.
I was on an all hands in ISG yesterday, not one woman or person of color presenting and there were about 12 leaders on the zoom call.
They will consolidate partner strategy and sales in the future. Splitting it wasn’ta winning strategy for Rola. It was a toothless role. MSD had an affinity for her and brought her back to Dell and like Chuck, put her in a junk role.
