Very few job listings WW on Teradata website

Took a quick look at the Teradata careers site + did a WW search for all available positions. There were 67 open positions.

Interestingly there appeared to be more Teradata job postings on Linkedin than there are on the Teradata Careers site. Also the jobs posted in Linkedin are different than the ones on the Teradata Careers site. Either HR isn't keeping both in sync or one or the other has Ghost Positions listed.

Teradata Headcount in 2015 was around 10,000 in 2023 Headcount was down to 7,000 WW.

95% of all Teradata Jobs listed were for positions outside of the US.

Quick comparison to competitors...
Oracle currently has 4047 jobs listed WW
Snowflake currently has 404 jobs listed WW
Teradata currently has 67 jobs listed WW

This is not a good look + November is coming likely with another round of layoffs. For anyone left, jump ship now before it gets any worse.

Teradata has shown no growth in years. Reducing cost by dumping services or during the annual RIF is not growth. Teradata is quickly sunsetting. Soon to be an entry in a IT history book.

Yes SNOW is suffering… DW multi cloud is not a ki-ler point … after 4year spent to move in a Cloud platform you don’t want move to another
RIF 30% in EMEA is planned

Snowflake is planning big RIF … no sales and GBQ is a strong competitor
