I love how the last meeting we had as a company everyone was told that we were growing and things were looking up. How come the company just laid off hundreds of people and there has been no communication as to WHY some people were let go and others were not. It definitely was not performance based, there are still some people left that have been here under a year, and still people left with 1-2 write ups or points.
Why has upper management not even acknowledged the fact they anyone off, given the employees left a moment to ask questions or even explain what might be going on? Currently seeing that most people feel like they are being replaced coming up soon, or currently training their replacements, but not given a heads up. We as a whole, most of us would give the company a 2 weeks notice out of respect and decency, are we not deserving of that as well?
Most people I know that are left here are mentally clocked out of their job, and feel like they have no job security.
We loved working for commscope and took pride in how much we felt our company cared about us, what happened???

Dang looks like we need to do some research into why or how companies can enter global markets. Definitely, makes sense to make it overseas and ship back to the states. You'll save a ton of money on car insurance!
Clermont only got handful people left their suppose to be coming to Catawba and shut down Clermont.

Don’t disagree with what’s been said. However, 3 business units had terrible numbers last quarter and given the company debt, it’s simply a dollars and cents issue. Logic has gone out the window wrt who gets let go. Upper management may know what they’re doing, just not sure what it is they expect to achieve at the end of the day. Either way, good people are leaving (or being forced out) and there goes institutional knowledge. Hope they turn things around somehow. Sell off some BUs while they still have value.
My only question is that I don’t understand why there are still people left at Catawba that have been there for under a year, and people who have multiple write ups…. I don’t know, but I do know it’s wrong
I’m just waiting for them to lay me off so I don’t miss out on the severance or I would have already left . I just wish they would tell us when we will get laid off so we can go ahead and make arrangements for our future
Of course it wasn't performance based. Write ups regardless of years employed were first. Then, it was just latest hires, up to about 2 years or so. We had 5 year employees with write ups let go. Great workers.
You clearly know by now that our jobs has been transferred to lower pay areas of the world outside the U.S. Mostly to China, India, Mexico or other places. You can see lots of job opening in Goa, India. One or two here in U.S. Employee are just number and Salary head to upper management. It is better you find another job and move on than staying here.
