Why are there rumors about more layoffs? I thought we were safe, at least for now.

Moral is low for those remaining. Based on previous years, this is about the time when everyone starts working on their year-end reviews and it will be interesting to see what Nielsen does with that.
At this point I think most people are going through their day doing the minimum and waiting for their names to be called.
Next layoffs in Mar 2024! do the math: Nielsen layoffs operate on a six month basis.
For anyone staying on, I don't envy you. Knowing you're laid off creates a one time burst in emotion then settles. Not knowing you could be next is far more of a roller coaster.

A contact at CareerSource Pinellas stated that they 'have a feeling' that there will be an increase in unemployment in the near future and they will receive more funding.
Meanwhile Paul Singer, who has repeatedly asked the Supreme Court to rule in his favor in high-stakes business disputes, is out fishing with Supreme Court justice Alito.... These types of luxury purchases require a lot of capital.
