Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Internal transfers

I’ve applied to quite a few jobs I was qualified for internally over the last few months. Rejected every time. I know others who have experienced the same. How do people transfer internally or is it the hiring freeze?

If you haven't been in your current role for 1 year, you're automatically denied. You need written permission from your manager and skip level manager (or higher) to attach with your application or you'll be rejected automatically. Likely you'll be rejected anyway if the role you're leaving has greater "business needs" than the one to which you're applying. This company loves to hold people down.

It's all smoke and mirrors; but frankly, why would anyone want to stay after being rif'd? Just human capital - expendable, replaceable and undervalued. There is no advantage to move internally. It's the same toxicity. Do yourself a favor, apply for jobs elsewhere. You will see it is beyond liberating to be out! Feels so darn good.

I was in a networking meeting a month or so ago and some one mentioned they had applied for almost 100 internal jobs and denied for all of them. I’m thinking you don’t move in this company

Management is denying you. They did the same thing to me, it was SS and CC that did it to me.

All hires regardless of context must be approved at C level.
