Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Ripped a page straight out of Elon's playbook

Steps

  1. Intend to ruin a company
  2. Become CEO
  3. Destroy its reputation, push out bad code
  4. Layoff integral employees
  5. Realize you accidentally laid off necessary knowledgeable resources but don't do anything about it
  6. Overwork everyone who is left
  7. Change the company name so it is completely unrecognizable
  8. Prosper

@6csq+1oPSefr6 Harder to do in “at will states” unless you had some contract in place and and the didn’t honor it.
Unless things have changed in the past few years.

There is always another layoff coming. As for severance the rules will most likely change with the split.

If you get let go, the table turns very fast from being nice to you to threatening and bullying, read and understand your termination letter, if you have any doubt, seek legal advice, if your union it is spelled out clearly in your contract, that’s exactly how you will be compensated, if your not union, the rules on compensation are not clear, it up to interpretation, my advice, especially if your a long term employee, get advice before you sign any of the paperwork, as soon as you get a lawyer, the papers are put on hold until either a deal is reached, or a judge decides the case. Know your rights.

@Laying sm--k, are you confirming there's more layoffs to come?

Can you explain the severance policy? I've gotten conflicting answers.

Elon? What? You sound like an underperform employee that's toxic in the workplace. You'd be a good start for layoffs

Yes, the Blockbuster deal was one of “Nutjobs” big failures, along with moving out of Dayton, moving the CFC from Larenceville to Columbus and building the “Towers”.

As CEO he started the fall of NCR.

Let’s look back on when NCR bought blockbuster and launched dvd kiosk everywhere renting movies for a buck, every tech knew it was a really bad plan, makes you wonder about upper management, poor decisions continue to be made over and over.

Wow, at least Tesla and Space X bring something innovative to the table. What s NCR’s claim to fame? Putting a computer in a refrigerator door. Wow that was a trend setter. NCR remains a dinosaur no matter where you end up.

Mullet Boy don't care. He and his henchman are getting paid and it's back to his shack on the beach in FL.

Keep bringing in those non technical middle managers who have no idea what's going on! It's definitely going to help us be more productive!

@jgo+1oPSetr6 Hey Mike we need to have a talk about that 12mil bonus package you got.
I think accounting dept added to many digits, To much icing on your cake bruh...
your strategy of laying off hard working employees for a bonus isn’t working well for the company. Oh wait 2 companies now. while your at it tho hobble over to India and Serbia chat boards. Ncr just a beginner step in their career. They don't have much good to say about NCR. 30% + turnover rate? That doesn’t look too good on a resume. And that breach, thats on you and your compadres, don’t be so naive. The thought of looking for buyer for the company with over 500 million under funded pension budget? The president advisory board? Pure insanity bruh.

The point is stupid, arrogant CEO’s who think they walk on water ruin companies. Just ask the UAW about the 3 over paid, under performing jack a—‘s they have to deal with.
