Thread regarding Northwestern Mutual layoffs

Any remote workers worried about the remote "memorandum"

Basically title - looks like all remote workers got a notification that was basically stating that if our position / responsibilities change - the remote work agreement can change at any time.

Is there recent news on going to 4 days? JS alluded to 3 days being temporary, but I haven’t seen anything about 4 days coming soon.

I think if NM does do layoffs of FTEs they'll target the remote ones first. I wonder if in this scenario remote workers will have a chance to convert to in office first.

Working in remote tends to be boring. Remote workers must be compensated with higher % of AIP !!!!!!

Remote workers are the smart and safe ones. There was a double shooting just across from the downtown NM campus last night. Meanwhile JES and others keep telling us its safe. Yeah right.

Any complaining from remote workers should go immediately to everyone’s mental trash bin. You literally have 0 commute and 0 additional expenses. Those perks come with trade-offs and honestly no one cares if you don’t like it because a million other people who are dying for remote jobs will take your place.

Its only a matter of time before remote work ends at NM and all these remote workers are canned.
