Responding to the claim that the WARN Act only applies to manufacturing plant closures, that statement is inaccurate. In general, the federal notice requirements of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act apply to employers with 100 or more employees. The Act is not limited to manufacturing and encompasses various business types, including corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships.
Warn Act is around manufacturing plant closings and protecting small communities. UHG and other companies that are non manufacturing don’t need to follow. Read the law.
Because UHG is sc-mmy and don’t want it getting out that they are getting rid of American jobs.
