Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Has anyone received severance material?

Hi! I am looking at a mid-October severance date. Has anyone received their severance materials yet? It said within 30-days of the date.

Thank you.

Received mine 10/4 in the afternoon.

At least on my payment is semi-monthly and not bi-weekly as others have stated. There is a difference.

See my separate post on why this may cause an issue.

My Severance email just dropped at 8:30 pm. The payments will be biweekly.

Are they giving lump sum payment or is it still bi-weekly? I was told bi-weekly till end of severance but wanted to confirm

That is correct. You would sign 10/22.

Can someone explain what is meant by not signing before your separation date? Does that mean that if we receive the severance agreement prior to our separation date of 10/21 we have to sign it as of 10/22? My understanding was the last pay date is 10/15 then severance would kick in.

I spent the last year paying a lot of my dads bills as he fought cancer so don’t have much saved and my family can’t weather a gap before severance kicks in. No family left to stay with or anything. WTF do we do while we wait for CVS to get their cr-p together?

Another wonderfully planned execution. The incompetence of this company is unreal. The can't even abide by their written notice to us that are laid off and all the brilliant minds should have all of our paystubs automatically sent to us and not have to call and put a ticket in and wait weeks and still nothing. Kudos to CVS

I have a 10/21 separation date. Just got the mail and nothing yet. Thanks for all the info though on signing it quickly and how to return the forms. I will post once I receive so folks know they are "in the mail"

I called HR and spoke with someone in Colleague Relations. I am still waiting for Severance Agreement too. We will receive by 10/21. I know, this isn't what we were told.

They emailed me instructions, and this is what I was told:

Do NOT sign or date your severance agreement prior to the severance date, for example if your severance is NOV 1st and you sign and date 10/31/23 and submit, your severance agreement will not be accepted.

MAIL/FAX/EMAIL the ENTIRE document if it is 20/30/40 pages send ALL 20/30/40

If you fax: on the cover page ADD your contact information.

If you mail: it could take up to 10 business days for the mail to be processed and received at the corporate office before it goes to the severance team.

Email is colleaguerelations@cvshealth.com, please use the word severance in the subject line followed by your CVS ID , CVS ID will be located under your name on your severance agreement once received.

Separation date in October. Haven’t received anything. Not surprised that this mindless company can’t even get a severance agreement out the door in a timely manner.

I spoke to someone on Monday and CVS has between now and our separation date to send the severance agreement. Once the agreement is signed, then it takes approx 7 days for the severance to kick in. I was also told that severance money might be delayed so signing the agreement quickly would be in my best interest. Let’s just say I didn’t get the “warm fuzzies” after my phone call.

I have a 10/21 separation date as well and no I have not received anything. When I call the phone rings for 45 mins to an hour or so before I hang up or get transferred to another person\queue to hold. And when I call the number to the person from the letter they mailed me it just rings goes to voice mail and says it’s full and then says bye. I am so tired of this!!

I have a 10/21 separation date and have not received anything yet. I was told when I called the HR service center that I could receive information on and even after 10/21 which could delay severance and medical benefit setup! Won’t be a fun November and December for families if without pay and medical coverage.
