I agree. Raghu has talent, but not as a CEO. The overall timeline from Dell selling VMware to Broadcom acquiring it is extremely coordinated. The Board, and Dell, needed someone to just keep the ship from sinking for two years. Ignore innovation, just keep products shipping until Broadcom can come along. He did that well. People just had a different expectation of him than what his job truthfully was.
RR is a brilliant technologist and was only put in place to keep the ship afloat until the closes. I feel like the decision maker to place RR in the seat and the real culprit for accelerating the demise of VMW is our buddy Mr. Dellionaire. I don’t think he was intentionally trying to submarine us but raiding our corporate coffers stymied our ability to acquire and innovate. I could be wrong and would be interested in other perspectives.

I still don't understand why people are infatuated with him. He's a dime-a-dozen CEO who is there to speak platitudes and affirmations. The real leadership comes from your general manager. Why do people get so obsessed with what Raghu is saying (and wearing apparently).
