Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

I received a rejection email after I finished the third round of interviews

And I thought it went well. I hate this. It's been so long since I've last had to search for a new job and things are not the same as they were. Not to mention, every rejection hurts. I'm more scared of being laid off now than I ever was, knowing how adversarial the job market is.

I went through the same thing. It took me a year and a half before I landed a great new job. A piece of advice: Interview in person! All of my rejections were from Teams and Zoom calls. Going in person allowed my charisma to shine and put me on a solid interview footing.

KNOWING THAT you will finally end up having an offer letter should keep you motivated. Just accept that the rejection is a part of this process. You’re an engineer, you must know that the failure is only an indication of learning. Besides, you are having plenty of networking in the meantime across several companies.

It's impossible to know how long it will take. If you are older, it can take significantly longer. Life is bigger than engineering and work, so don't let the job search overwhelm your thoughts (but keep studying and preparing anyway).

I know how it is, I was looking for the last 3 months. I was affected back in late May round. I know it su-ks to keep getting rejected, but just keep trying. I finely found something, so it is possible. It feels go to be out of QC's stranglehold. Keep tying.
