Thread regarding VMware layoffs

I was thinking about quitting today. Will all of my RSUs vest in full?

And other stupid questions.

If you sold vested shares you have essentially flushed away a large sum of money.

You get to keep any RSUs that vest before the WARN notice period ends. So typically at VMW 60 days after they inform you of a layoff. I would imagine if they you are in the transitioning bucket you would get keep the RSUs that vest during that period and perhaps a 60 day period past your last day.

They have already vested, and I sold them: thanks for the money.

Please send your remaining RSU’s to Magoo, as he is the most deserving of additional compensation, bless that senile man’s heart.

Don't be a wu-s. Can't you complete the remaining 5 weeks?

probably only for a portion of the rsu's that were granted as part of your last compensation letter if there is a statement there saying that you will receive the first portion if you are terminated without cause by broadcom after the acquisition closes but prior to the first vest date.
