Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Would you move to India

What if the management offers you a possibility of continuing your same job but you need to relocate to Indian offices with Indian salaries? Of course with children and family it ain’t not easy, but what about all those young single fellas from Qualcomm?

One of the cost cutting actions that are planned is to move all but a few of the H1B visa employees to QIPL once they have been trained. Only a few standout engineers will stay in the US. Remaining employees will be moved into high volume buildings, and Q will quietly sell off more of its real estate portfolio.

I'm always amazed at how many people around the world are willing to completely upend their lives and move to another country for work. Many of us here would not have that kind of courage.

I would be willing to give up 15% just to be remote.

Or what if everyone gives up 25% of their salaries to save company the money to retain all their employees? When the situation recovers in few quarters then you get into the same old payroll
