Wow. I thought the comment about 2,800 being laid off in NA was bull, but after the Asia announcement of 700 only netting $50M in savings I think whoever posted that 2,800 number is dead on. How can this company have that much fat. Is management that incompetent??????

Management is and always have been colossally incompetent. They hire suits to jive around, make PR media postings about new investments and "innovations" such as smart tires via AI but ignore business side of sense. How many tires are we selling as opposed to how many incompetent suits we have at Akron? How many of our customers are willing to pay for the costs of AI in their tires, if that AI works in real life even?!
Its a sh!tshow. Fire the management layers and hire people who actually know how to do tire business in America.
