when’s the right time to ask manager about how reduction will or will not affect team

The list wad finalized 2 wks ago, its in HR now.
Frontline Managers are on the chopping block as well, only senior directors will have some ideas of the their own group.
It’s all done by now . My manager doesn’t even give me any tasks now.
First week of October is the absolute deadline.
