I'm assuming Apple will have to layoff those who worked on and interacted with the 5G Modem Chip project especially since they have signed a 3-year contract with Qualcomm. Also, 5G hasn't taken off that well, so revenues/profits will most likely decrease since smartphone market has saturated. People are keeping their current phones for longer. And iPhone 15 doesn't have that big of an upgrade where one has to buy it. And who has 1K or 1.1K to spend in these high inflation period. Until a great new product that everyone wants and needs at an affordable price isn't released by Apple, I only see declining revenues going forward, meaning more layoffs in the end.

Apple modem has been 2 years away since 2019.
These jokers couldn't make a modem. The only way they will deliver a modem is if they beef up the A1 chip to run their simulator. At least the power and area requirements will be the same as their actual modem (5x). The performance will be worse but looking at the modem divisions performance since 2019 that is not a concern for apple.
Again APPLE is a great company at producing phones and consumer products. Doing silicon is entirely different. But your attitude stays the same...we are apple and you should be proud to work for us LOL. Example of your poor attitude? Here it is: They contacted me a while ago to poach me from QCOM. They called me every damn month for probably half a year at which point I agreed to talk to them just to hear what they had to offer. The accondiscending attitude was wow! The HR girl tried to teach me how it goes in the semi biz ( I have just 20 years of experience in this field) while she still smelled of milk. Anyway, my bad I should have sent you guys packing on the spot instead I told to myself to give aapl another chance. So talked and wasted my time for 2 days talking with probably 10 folks and then aapl disappeared. Do not take me wrong. I can accept they did not like me or my zero BS attitude or maybe they just thought I was not good enough. It is all fine. What pi---d me off is as of today, 2 years later I did not even get an answer ( positive or negative). Like you su-k and we do not want you or you are just not a fit...whatever. No they even did not answer after bugging me for months. So here it is your real issue and that is why we will kick your azzez every day of the week and twice in the weekends. You have a poor attitude and believe you are the best while in silicon your are the underdog and have a pretty thick history of failures. Plus you have to navigate our patent minefield...goid luck with that. If you want to succeed first change that attitude but I doubt you can do that.

And they call themselves the best of the best. The ones who are actually best of the best are QUALCOMM employees.

The most useless modem team in the industry can't produce a modem 6 years on the trot. You guys are a running joke in the industry with a missing punchline just like your modem.
Dream on losers. When you finally develop a working 5G modem others will have leapfrogged to 6G.
If rif will happen, I hope they can start with department like HR. They have hired at least one HR leader who helped corrupted management people and bullied innocent employees at her old company.
Some incompetent people will fail their whole careers and fail into retirement. Keep on riding your bike, you would make a good delivery boy. You weren't cut out to make modems.
