While everyone is being pushed to fill out the employee engagement survey, I stumbled across this piece of information in the annual proxy statements that UP publishes.
In 2022 the CEO was paid $220,000 out of a possible $440,000 for their non-formulaic bonus (50% payout). Part of that came from hitting the target of 80% participation in the employee survey but missing other targets. In 2019 it was a similar story but paid at only 45%. So, if you want to stick em where it hurts just don't fill out the survey. If enough people don't then they will miss the engagement target and likely get an even smaller bonus. And in that case, you can still see the impact whether you are let go or not since the proxy statements are public info.
