Get ready folks! I was in an upper level mangers meeting this afternoon that indicated front line positions will be impacted by layoffs from several areas but especially case management for GCM and BH. Leadership feel the system is broken, so they are scraping it and building into their new vision. It’s so sad what’s happening to Optum right before our eyes. They have truly lost their way! Get ready for the fireworks and don’t be surprised because you have been warned. Even if you survive this round those left will not be happy by the the new job demands. I don’t have a specific date as of this writing, but will update it here when provided to me.

I hope and pray someone cuts the clown show in sr leadership in ambulatory. The top three to four are noncommunicative, unethical, treat you like cr-p (RI, SE, MC)….take them all away we run better without them anyway
Any word on what sector of the business in optum it will affect? ECS? Also what about women’s health case management? MSP programs?
