The comms team running meetings like a TV show, bye

By Hock's count, about 50% of staff and he's probably not that far off. So many layers of "management" are just there to milk the cow and play politics. "SIES" mentioned, "Transition office" mentioned, add specialist sales outside of EUC / Security which actually have a purpose. Then do the hallway check with staff - eg. "what are the financial/operational goals of the company and what are the 3 things you deliver on a weekly basis that contribute to these and how.?" Anyone that is "deer in the headlights" is ripe for culling and rightly so. So many du----s execs walking the corridors making stuff up as they go with company money and blue ribbon exercises when they don't have a clue about the how the business operates to generate financial and operational benefits.
The transformation office
I wouldn't just go with roles but whole departments. A year ago I worked with 'marketing' on a whitepaper. It took me a while to realise that the group of VPs, directors and writers only work on internal material. What a waste of space.
Sales directors and senior sales directors that have more sales directors under them. Too many big egos and uninspiring opinions and plans.
Some really terrible people on here who just think they are God’s gift to VMW
Like Magoo, Kit, and Betsy?
MKB
Customer Success Managers
SEIS. Total waste of resources.
“ This applies to anyone involved in DEI or on the the all hands/party planning team.”
Turtle guy?
You guys are so damn rude. Point to the people in control and not each other.
Our BU Vice President of Marketing.
Why? Anyone at this level that holds "All Hands" meetings should be sharing meaningful info about their Objectives and Key Results (OKR) commitment results. They don't, never.
Account Executives. Not their salary, but the cost associated with them. They demand high dollar for things like baseball tickets, football box tickets, golfing days, etc. Basically a fraternity and sorority party get together where they get the client and themselves drunk in hopes that they can close a deal. When that doesn't happen, they do it all over again. Taking the client to a fancy dinner or out on a yacht.
I know a few lofty SENIOR DIRECTOR/DIRECTOR roles seem to be administration and no direct reports, so these roles do exist, could be done by people much lower down the food chain
Obviously the entire C-suite and then move down the next two rungs.
Income inequality is a real thing and there is no justification for their outrageous bonus/salaries etc.
What a mean spirited post. I will be glad to not work alongside some of you after this, whether at VMWare or elsewhere. Some really terrible people on here who just think they are God’s gift to VMW. 😂

Just look at @lyg+1oHtF4cq post below. They are clearly one of these people
This reads like bait to start another anti-DEI discussion.
Honest answer: you have no idea exactly what other people make, nor any idea exactly what they produce. People tend to assume others are paid more than they are and perform less work than they do.
Live and let live. Sales executives are dropping tens of thousands of dollars taking a single customer out to a ball game. Individual salaries are nothing in comparison.
I didn't expect BC HR to be active on this board
