Offer Volunteer UPPL

Most people don't want to lose their jobs but would enjoy a break from the everyday grind even if it was unpaid. Why not offer Unpaid Personal Leave days?

Offering people unpaid personal leave days would promote resignations from the working class. Why stay at a company that cares almost nothing about its employees, when you can find something else that you feel a bit more secure at? UP needs to believe they have total control over there employees, which is partially why they furloughed so many the first time. I'm quite sure they figured that most people would come back from furlough when called. They just didn't plan on people not coming back, because the very people they sh1t on finally had enough. If many people think that's not the case, then ask yourself "why hasn't the mass layoffs taken place yet"?

I remember they did that a few years back and it was awesome!! Work as much as you want or can afford. They realized quickly it made us happy so they quickly ended that.

Ive known people who tried to take a leave of absence and they were denied. Uncle Pete like an abusive p¡mp knows if their workers learn they can survive w/o them they’ll be outta business overnight.

They've done that before. They called it undertime. They said if we took it we might prevent furloughs. Furloughs happened anyway.
