Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Work at one of these 10 companies if you want to be happy at your job

Imagine reading this, finding ADP on the list, and then joining and being hit over the head with all the toxicity and other cr-p we have to deal with every day. Lists like this are dangerous.

I’m the usual smart Alec guy that defends ADP.

Use anyways possible through ADP or on your own to keep growing.

Continue to make yourself irreplaceable to them, remain positive in front of everyone including friends/peers, they’re NOT always as they appear.

Things aren’t always greener BUT, keep pushing and learning and looking.

It’s all a game, you can master it.

All my best.

This is how ADP operates! Incredibly toxic culture with a revolving door at the "leadership" level (leadership -LOL). If you're looking for upward mobility and recognition; LOOK ELSEWHERE!

Felt the same angst before I left after 20+ years only to realize that I have +50% more value as compared at ADP. Please survey X-ADP associates and you will find that most are making more $ and are generally happier elsewhere.

ADP also intentionally Silo/piegon holes you into roles/skills and deny continuing education expenditures. This in turn, diminishes your marketability. The way to start the transition process is to leverage tuition reimbursement and accumulate skills that are more relevant (tuition reimbursement its a HR policy that not even your manager can reject). YOU are responsible for your happiness and career trajectory. YOU do have VALUE (don't let anyone treat you like you don't matter).

@4cwj+1oHiBkJ5 I Agree it’s not easy and could be worse elsewhere. I’ve been applying elsewhere and getting nowhere, so I’m stuck which adds to the frustration. I guess that’s life.

Completely toxic. For those who say walk away - it’s not always that easy. It takes time. In the meanwhile, for those that are unhappy like me, it’s ok to feel under appreciated, over worked, and unheard.

But remember, the grass is not always greener somewhere else. That’s what sticks in the back of my mind. Why give up my tenure here for brand new somewhere else when nothing may be different? I would appreciate constructive replies…
